End of an Era - and back to Principles!
Catch_22 is RELAXED and FUN again!!!
Well there have been a lot of changes to the guild over the last month. Basically
we grew too large after merging with NaHeulBeuk and taking in some ex BlackSouls members. Demands were high and the new members
were not happy with the basic principles and ideals that Catch22 in all its phases had held for almost 2 years. This lead
to a somewhat acrimonious split.
GRAEME who had been appointed to re-lead the 'revolution', deleted the Catch~22
guild of all its members. Which was a shame as it still held the crown for the south flag we had taken. However, undaunted,
we remade Catch_22 the 4th generation, with members who wished to keep the original principles of friendship, fair play and
mutal support. The principles of all for one and one for all (as opposed to all for one only, as some of the new people in
Catch~22 thought was good, especially if it was themselves).
The guild is now ready to move on to bigger better things. Once more a close
tight guild of mature, friendly people who want to play in a stress-free and FUN atmosphere, without being pushed into doing
things they don't want to do.

Well I am writing this in retrospect, to record some historic occassions, before
the changes that occured in February.
After growing larger we achieved a good few things, we took and held flag for
the first time in a CS (South), became members of the Promised Land Alliance and killed Soul Reaper. We also paid a
visit to MotherDragon. We also reached number 2 slot in the ranks
Things seemed to go well for a while, but the new people wanted power and items
and caused unrest. The start of the end of Catch~22 the 3rd Generation. so - on to the 4th Generation !

New Year's Message to Guild from Leader EmeraldStar
"The last 12 months have been a roller-coaster for
Catch~22 with highs and lows but we always pull through. We've faced abandonment, betrayal, hackings and even a General who
got hacked and dissolved the guild, and somebody even stole the guild. But we've been #2 in ranks twice and had some great
fun. In the PvM tournament we were succesful in the final of EVERY group and we have recruited some of the nicest and best
people in the game.
This time of year is a time to look back and reflect but also to look forwards too. I want to remember
some of our founders we dont see too often now... Azaz, unable to play because of his RL job, MiniWardle and his brother and
internet troubles, PymerOne and his family commitments, and Etheral who can only be on when he gets PC access. Some of those
who helped drag Catch22 Episode 1 out of the depths when we were abandoned by all members over level 200. I was highest then
at 199, the day I reached level 200 there was about 5 of us left. I wore 2 parts BK a level 117 top and one piece of WK that
was borrowed. I had a sharp +3 and a MaW and luckily my prize possession, a CLW Tizz and some others got for me. Those were the days, and I so miss those people.
But this year we progressed,
we welcomed players from Elemental, yresim, natasha and ASTERIX and others like Shadowlife and Fifou, who stood by us all.
We needed to recruit, and after the Ladyxile situation, when I got the guild back, I was determined to find the right people
to expand the guild. GRAEME joined and was a great help, he taught us much and helped to pull us back up onto our feet.
Luckily
we found our French server players from NaHeulBeuk, great ppl, Scarecrow, LiLit, kyltotonn and later Cyrax. We decided not
to make a low level guild but to concentrate on this guild and take on a few low levels who were suitable. We took a risk
and joined 2 low levels.. our 'Little vikings'(now not so little) VOlcom and Southpole who have grown and been good members,
so a risk I'm glad we took. Then we took on Kattrek, zionheart and Doma, who will all work hard and will be a great asset.
We got great ppl like Super_Nova, XVIII and Actalus, and then the guys from Sanctuary (BlackSouls). All great guys and fantastic
additions to the family.
I am proud that we have been fortunate enough to get some of the best players in game.
Our
philosphy of Fun, Friendship and Fairplay, teamwork, trust and support is what makes us strong enough to survive where so
many other guilds have failed. The lust for greed, power and selfish needs have destroyed many guilds - but they won't destroy
us. We are like a family and families don't always agree, but always forgive and work things out, and thats what makes us
different. We had a disagreement at Christmas, but as friends we resolved it. But it brought to light, for me, just how much
this guild has grown and changed. What worked for us when we were small, needs to be revised to fit how we are developing
now. So the New Year should bring changes to address the problems of our expansion. So I will work on something new and more
fair for all. What is the point of experiences, even arguments if we can't learn from them?
I have noticed the great
teamwork we are developing lately, and good organisation too. 28 and his time-keeping helps us with WGs and DKs  nice work.
Now I have hopes and goals for
2006 with this guild, and hope you will all join me and support me in them........
I'd like to see people more active,
when real life will allow, let's see if we can have ppl on 24/7  and I'd like to see those old faces back.
Let's set a few things we can work towards in steps...

Reaper then Mother Dragon
First castle flag then a castle
then there is the new patch....
If we keep
the spirit of friendship and support within the philosophy we have always had... we will have a great and prosperous 2006.

During this month the website will be updated substantially.
We are almost at disk capacity so some screenies will need to be moved and re-hosted which will take a lot of tedious
time- consuming work.
There are also a lot of news reports as there has
been a lot happening in Catch~22 including great successes in Event Week tournaments.

| Loggins Makes Level 260 |
28 July 2005 - Loggins reaches level 260
In the early hours of the morning accompanied by EmeraldStar Loggins reaches
level 260 in the Great White Horn.
Loggins was the first member of Catch22 to reach meta in September last year
and now he reaches level 260.
26 May 2005 - MiniWardle makes meta
The 3rd meta in a week for Catch~22, MiniWardle was
accompanied by friends from guild, Outlaw_Stars and Uffers while he reached his meta goal. Unfortunatley we had been pestered
by an annoying noob in the process which resulted in him reaching meta looking rather jaundiced.
22 May 2005 - Kaszar makes meta
Kaszar came back to Biosfear UK a few months back,
having started originally back in beta, but moved to Biosfear France for a while. He was welcomed into Catch~22 at a lower
level as a friend of Petruchio and promised he would level fast. He kept that promise and has worked exceedingly hard. With
the benefit of a good pet he relentlessy worked all day everyday to achieve his goal. On Sunday many of his friends gathered to be there to share his meta moment.
21 May 2005 Etheral makes meta
Etheral started playing in open beta. It has taken him a long time
but he finally made it this Saturday. Partied with Hathor, Nederlander and PymerOne (all friends from his first guild
back in beta VN Knights) and MiniWardle he battled in GreatWhite Horn through the final stages. Old friend Gerrawin was there
for him to witness his meta moment.

mongoleN, Leader of SLackers invited Catch~22 along
for a join hunt to kill Soul Reaper in Searoost. 4 nervous adventurers took up the Challenge, 2 humans, xXTripleMXx,
xvxjohnnyxvx, 1 Bulkan, MiniWardle and a kallipton EmeraldStar.
There was about 15 - 20 people running through to
the Soul Reaper's lair. On the first run quite a few died to an army of ghostly Dread Templars but on the second run
Slackers' aidas removed their ghostly status and all fell to the might of the 2 guilds. Nothing was left alive as together
they pushed through into the Soul Reaper's lair and lured him into a corner to his doom.

Lord Illidan goes off to Great White Horn accompanied
by MiniWardle HopeLess and BlackEye where he makes the prestigious rank of meta. He has worked hard at this havign
only joined the guild a few weeks ago at level 23*. Thanks to HopeLess for the screenies of this event.

On Friday members met in the forge in Lost Realm
Castle for a meeting to decide on the restructuring and remaking of Catch22. It was decided that HopeLess would re-create
the guild naming it Catch~22 and all existing active members would move across.
There would be an election for a new leader and nominations
for leadership candidates were requested. Although a few names were put forward only 2, EmeraldStar and PymerOne,
agreed to stand. After making the guild HopeLess (Hopples) would be Custodian of the guild for a week during the election
and through the transitional stages to make things run smoothly. The election would end on Friday and the new Master
would be appointed. Former Generals would remain Generals with the addition of PymerOne and HopeLess after the election.
The one with most votes would be Master and the runner up to remain as Sub-Master.
It was agreed that previous philosphies and guild
policies would continue and that Catch~22 will continue as a guild where friendship is the key element.

On Thursday 24 February 2005, Catch-22 had to play
their league game of football against Cocco's Fc. Cocco's had already anhilated Slackers in the first round
game, and Slackers had a significant win over Catch-22, who would be the underdogs of the game. After a week of
disruption in guild they had little time to prepare. the team comprised Azaz, Blackeye, EmeraldStar, HopeLess and
Captain PymerOne.
Cocco's had the upperhand form the start with some
well planned team tactics. Although Catch-22 played their hearts outs afgter the first half it was clear they woudl
need a lot of work ot catch up. Despite brave efforts they could not break Cocco's firm hold over the game and finally lost
20 - 0.
Coccos now go through to play Impact in the semi final.
22 February 2005
Due to a number of reasons the transition of the whole
of Catch-22 to Democracy failed. Catch-22 will exist in its own right, however due to the disappearance of Master LadyXile
we are currently unable to do any administration in guild except via the one remaining General.
This is currently being resolved democratically
among members with a view to remaking the guild with the same name with a democratically elected leader and council.
19 February 2005
After a meeting was held it was decided that in the absence of Catch-22 Master
it was difficult to adminster the guild as it was. We could not appoint any new Generals. It had been decided
at the meeting before that the guild should be run by a council of leading Generals.
Catch-22 had grown and needed a new order and the only way to do this was by
evolving. Catch-22 has not died, merely developed into something stronger, fresher, and closer under the new leadership of
CrashDummy with additional Generals. The guild to be named Democracy in keeping with the philosophy of the guild.
A new way forward.

The first round of the Biosfear Football Cup for
Catch-22 was played this night. Catch-22 were drawn in Group A with Cocco's and Slackers. In the first game Slackers
were overwhelmed by a professional effort by Coccos and lost 4 -10.
Catch-22 team was EmeraldStar, HopeLess, MiniWardle, PymerOne and wildasa who
was a last minute substitute for CrashDummy. The game opened with EmeraldStar in goal but Catch-22 changed tactics after
being 6 -0 down on goals at half time. MiniWardle was placed in goal and EmeraldStar brought out to the pitch. The
ladies saved the nil score for Catch-22 with EmeraldStar scoring the first goal followed by 2 more by wildasa. Well
done to the lady kalliptons, however it was insufficient to save the game from a 3- 18 defeat with one goal being a home goal
by MiniWardle.
Slackers played a surprising game compared to their previous performance against
Coccos.
Catch-22 have another game to play versus Cocco's next Tuesday and it is likely
there will be some line up changes. They must beat Coccos by a considerable amount of goals to have any chance of going
through to the next round.

Dasa won the Biosfear Christmas lottery organised
by JohnnyM. People queued for miles at the Army Hospital in the Promised Land to buy their tickets. Congratulations
on taking the 40 million lime first prize.
07 December 04
6 brave members adventured into the World Of
Legends on Monday 7 December 2004. 2 level 250 metas, and 3 sub metas with a little help from our young kallipton wildasa
in her hurricane armour. Uffers, EmeraldStar, Gerrawin, Etheral and dasa.
We checked out the opposition and decided to go and
challenge the current holders of the East Castle and take their flag. It was a close fought fight as both guilds were
similar strength, Shadow_Knights. It was hard fought battle, STUCK was so hard to kill and EmeraldStar engaged in many 1
on 1 duels with him, a real battle of magic, that allowed the Catch-22 bulkans to defeat the others. We took the flag
and held it for quite a while until we lost it as Shadow_Knights regrouped and stormed us while some of us had run out
of pots. Sadly we lost the flag but returned time after time to do battle, however, they had an aidian with tranquility,
which made them hard to defeat. Then FreeMinds also joined in and for most of the seige it was a battle of 3 equally
matched guilds. It was a fantastic battle, and then just before the end =Impact= turned up, not satisfied with
having the castle, they seemd to go for the easiest flag. By the time we had decided if it was worth trying to fight
them they had moved and taken the west flag from Titans and it was all over.
Was great to be fighting alongside guilds of similar
strength and it was a truly sporting affair. Afterwards we talked to Shadow Knights about how fun it was. Thanks
to SimonJenkins from Honor for paying for the Castle Seige it was fun

2 members of Catch-22 make Meta in one day.
On Sunday at around 2 pm GMT after putting on
over 30 levels in just over a week, helped by HopeLess, Blackeye made meta on an ice cracker in Great White Horn. After
this we went to annoy DupeRack Harpoon in Deckadun by persistently killing him and finally stealing his capsule.
Later that evening some of the adventurers of Catch-22 went to rid Old Paros of dragons and flying devil kings, while Uffers
battled away to clear the Great White Horn's wintery plains. We all gave up in Paros to join him in his moment of
glory as he also reached the status of meta around 11 pm GMT.
5 November 2004
EmeraldStar makes Meta
On Thursday 4 November EmeraldStar reached 93% towards
meta but waited to be with her whole guild to finally get there.
On Friday 5 November all the guild met up in Great
White Horn Town to join her for a guild hunt. They all ran through the West Gate to cause mayhem on the wintery plains.
Friends old and new and her husband CrashDummy, ran out in companionship killing ice crackers risks, hail wizards and
Winter Knights, until finally EmeraldStar made her meta status - on an ice harper. She put on her mantle which was a
kind gift for the occassion from Gerrawin.
As usual for the occasion this was followed by much
merriment and dancing.

Invasion by sheep
Over the weekend there were sitings of sheep throughout
the lands of Biosfear. These lands are wild and uncultivated and not pastoral so it was indeed a strange phenomenon.
Where may these sheep have come from? Were they mutated from some form of laval-dwelling bacteria or were they merely
visiting aliens from another galaxy? They caused us no danger as although they appeared to attack it may have been nothing
more than a kind of friendly affection as they seemed to become quite attached to many of us and would follow us around the
lands and dungeons. Unfortunatley as these lands have been invaded before we have a fear of the unknown and therefore
we could take no chances, we had no alternative but to rid the planet of these outwardly benign creatures. It is
believed that the invaders have all now been culled and we have seen no further sitings. But who knows what may
follow from some distance alien farmland planet?
Strangely enough there are now also rumours about a chain of kebab shops opening
in the major towns.

CrashDummy weds EmeraldStar
Yesterday all of Catch-22 celebrated the wedding of
CrashDummy to EmeraldStar. It was a busy night and followed a Castle Seige in Boldin for the conquest of Shilon
Fields and was before 2 further battles for ownership of the Great White Horns.
The Wedding ceremony was conducted by Biosfear Administrator
JohnnyM and took place in New Paros by the waterfall.
The Bridesmaid was LadyXile and the Groomsman
was Etheral.
GreenGrass master of the guild =DEMON= assisted as
usher and helped to keep the congregation in order.
The bride in a gown of ivory and gold looked stunning,
as did her bridesmaid in a long blue satin kimono. The groom wore a classic suit of deep midnight blue velvet with regal gold
trim and the groomsman was adorned in samurai costume.
The ground was strewn with red roses as the guests
arrived, removed their helms and sat down to watch the happy event unfold. There were castle owners and leaders of many
guilds and friends and allies, wellwishers and not least members of the Catch-22 family. It was a well attended ceremony.
The service itself was beautifully executed by JohnnyM who guided the couple
as they lovingly made their vows.
After the exchanging of rings they were pronounced to be husband and wife in
the lands of Biosfear. There was another shower of roses which everybody
picked up as keepsakes of this happy event and much merriment and joy. After a photo session the couple took to the
floor for the first dance of the party.
The couple and their attendants then finished off the evening by touring the
towns of Biosfear thanking well wishers.

Assassination of DarkStorm
Belated news that on 10 September GamesMaster Crimson
Tear issued a contract for the assassination of her fellow GamesMaster DarkStorm. He was found on the football pitch
in the colluseum where many citizens of Laglamia took up the contract. Mazmaratic, Strontium, Satis and a few others tried
but had interference from Hakooooom who was defending GM DarkStorm. While EmeraldStar relentlessly laid into the GM
with her powerful lightning energy Loggins was frantically in pursuit of Hakooooom. Finally Hakooom was defeated
as Loggins dealt a fatal blow, leaving other citizens free to help with the assassination of DarkStorm. As EmeraldStar
cast her spell to petrify the GM he was left unable to move and helpless. Her lightning spell lasted throughout, others came
and went with fleeting blows, but she was there until the end as his lifeless corpse fell to the ground. The contract
had been fulfilled.

Loggins becomes first guild Meta
Loggins finally becomes the first Meta level
250 in the new rebuilt Catch-22 after days of hard levelling beating TheCore leader Celblock to the level. We all
partied up on shilon plains where he made the level on a uokepaloid just on the edge of town. After warm congratulatory
hugs the guild went off to kill Flying Devil Kings in Paros then later went to Old Paros to kill various dragons. All

Dragons invade Laglamia
On Friday night, all was still and calm as the
game's youngsters went quietly about their tiger hunting, while the elders of the game adventured far and wide. Then we see a shout of distress going up... the words in blue
caught our eye.'DRAGONS INVADING LAGLAMIA'. Oh no! This cannot be! Laglamia the centre of market trading, the very social
heart of these lands was under threat.
At once all the guilds great and small ran to save
Laglamia and rid it of the powerful and evil dragons, so that it would be safe for all once more. Neither race or clan
or high or low level mattered, the job had to be done.
All rallied and succeeded in defeating the dragons
and showing them that the people of Biosfear would never yield to their invasions.
I know all this because I was there, with my trusty
camera I preserved it all on film as I too fought the evil dragons. You can see them on the action screenies page.

the dragons with a 5 hour hunt for Flying Devil Kings in old Paros.

RamUh wins art prize
